Record Beaches

Studying a map of mainland Eleuthera, without a magnifying glass in hand, the first thing the traveling eye might see are the record number of beaches that line the Atlantic side of the 110 mile island. The next, lengths of sand that appear to reach from North to South in one long, continuous, lazy stretch – even so at the turning points where the landscape of the spindly, elbow-shaped island noticeably changes direction. It’s here, on such beaches as seen in the video by Ocean Fox Cotton Bay that mother nature chose not to interrupt one of her most beautiful sweeps and it’s why I would argue that while the Glass Window Bridge is the island’s most recognized distinction, the island’s beaches certainly vie for the spot.
