Island Inspirations – 5 Capture Worthy

With only a few hours left until our northern neighbors celebrate Labour Day it is official, summer is coming to an end; although I wouldn’t hesitate to argue that summer is year-round for us here in The Bahamas. The only real indicators are the sun meeting the ocean at an earlier hour, the clogged streets with cars en-route to school, and the last of the royal poinciana trees, sprinkled with their fiery flowers, no longer in full bloom. I’m looking forward to this so-called end of summer as it marks what will likely be the busiest season for The 700 Experience. Over the next few weeks I’ll be hinting at a new business development here + here, the big announcement being reserved for the blog. September on the blog is slated to be full of fashion inspired by our coastal lifestyle; as it rightly should be considering Vogue’s largest issue is on newsstands now and the runways in New York heat up next week for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. That said, kicking off  this fashionable month will be September’s Island Connoisseur, be sure not to miss the interview with the Bahamian ready-to-wear designer who also happens to be a Lady.
